ARRL wanting popularize getting DXCC  awards developed method ON-LINE applications for DXCC award. Fees are listed below. This method is based on a website ARRL ,  in where you must upload  ADI file that can be produce for a  given awards by program AWARD_SECRETARY. Therefore, the ARRL has eliminated the need for manual input of each reported QSO laboriously by  Ladies - the women operator in the ARRL,  and therefore this method is cheaper. Loaded .adi file type cannot be produced in a  Logger, but must contain only one QSO for the entity or for a single line of application. In contrast, in the method of LOTW - where you can load the entire log by the program on the website LOTW what choose the appropriate QSO itself  consistent with the correspondent QSOs .

To use the method ON-LINE you  firstly we need to create an account on the ARRL website. This is not equivalent to the account that we become a member of the ARRL and assume the costs as a member of the organization. Establishment of this account is free. Call the page from the link

and comments on the breaking joining QSL and LOTW
Description of payment methods

In this window is contained important information that there are no possibilities of combining confirmations QSL paper and LOTW (the so-called application hybrid) ( since April 2012 - postscript by the author)

Below are fees that existed in 2012 - now the site is no longer available

Table fees for DXCC awards
obtained by three different methods, ie
- Only paper QSL
- Only LOTW
- ON-LINE only method

Fees for obtaining awards  ARRL in 2012

So let's count how is fee for obtaining a award by ON-LINE method have to be incurred by the user from outside the USA, what  is not a member ARRL:

1. Application fee - for not a member of the ARRL = $12,5 . In this fee are the charge for checking 101 QSOs
2. Fee for DXCC award (Fee for each certificate) for a not member ARRL    = $12
3. Fee for print on your printer list of reported QSO (Fee for printout of your DXCC entites list)= $3
4.Fee for sending feedback award - at the same time the ARRL can send up to 4  awards  (Certificate shiiping fee (up to four certificated)= $4,5
5.Assume that we send not  101 - but 150 QSOs. Then, an additional cost will be 49 x $ 0.08 for every QSO = $ 3.92
6. Other postage = $3

Total charges = $38,92

So let's count how isfee for obtaining a diploma by PAPER method have to be incurred by the user from outside the USA, what  is not a member ARRL

1.Application fee - for not a member of the ARRL    = $25 . In this fee are the charge for checking 101 QSOs
2.Fee for DXCC award (Fee for each certificate) for a not member ARRL    = $12
3.Fee for sending feedback award - at the same time the ARRL can send up to 4  awards  (Certificate shiiping fee (up to four certificated)= $4,5
4.Other postage    = $3
5.Assume that we send not  101 - but 150 QSOs . Then, an additional cost will be  49 x 0,015 $ for every QSO = $7,35

Total charges= $51,85

So let's count how is  fee for obtaining a diploma by LOTW method have to be incurred by the user from outside the USA, what  is not a member ARRL :

1.Application fee - for not a member of the ARRL    = $10 . .
5.Fees for checking 150 QSOs = 150 x 0,12 $ = $18

Total charges = $47,5

Fees for obtaining award  ARRL now in 2016

So let's count how is fee for obtaining a award by ON-LINE method have to be incurred by the user from outside the USA, what  is not a member ARRL:

1.Application fee - for not a member of the ARRL    = $15 . In this fee are the charge for checking 101 QSOs.
2.Fee for DXCC award (Fee for each certificate) for a not member ARRL    = $12
3.Fee for print on your printer list of reported QSO (Fee for printout of your DXCC entites list    = $5
4.Fee for sending feedback award - at the same time the ARRL can send up to 4  awards  (Certificate shiiping fee (up to four certificated)= $15
5.Assume that we send not  101 - but 150 QSOs. Then, an additional cost will be 49 x 0,08 $ for every QSO = $3,92
6.Other postage    = $7,5

Total charges = $  58,42

So let's count how is fee for obtaining award by PAPER method have to be incurred by the user from outside the USA, what  is not a member ARRL

1.Application fee - for not a member of the ARRL    = $25 . In this fee are the charge for checking 101 QSOs .
2.Fee for DXCC award (Fee for each certificate) for a not member ARRL    = $12
3.Fee for sending feedback award - at the same time the ARRL can send up to 4  awards  (Certificate shiiping fee (up to four certificated)= $15
4.Other postage    = $7,5
5.Assume that we send not  101 - but 150 QSOs . Then, an additional cost will be  49 x 0,015 $ for every QSO = $7,35

Total charges = $ 67 $

So let's count how is   fee for obtaining  award by LOTW method have to be incurred by the user from outside the USA, what  is not a member ARRL :

1.Application fee - for not a member of the ARRL    = $10 . . In this fee are the charge for checking 101 QSOs
2.Fee for DXCC award (Fee for each certificate) for a not member ARRL    = $12
3.Fee for sending feedback award - at the same time the ARRL can send up to 4  awards  (Certificate shiiping fee (up to four certificated)= $15
4.Other postage    = $7,5
5.Fees for checking 150 QSOs = 150 x 0,12 $ = $18

Total charges = $  62,5 $

Z tego widać że najtańsze jest uzyskanie dyplomów DXCC  metodą ON-LINE

Let's calculate how much more are the costs when we report 4 diplomas at the same time the method ON-LINEE

So let's count how is   fee for obtaining  4-th awards by  method ON-LINE have to be incurred by the user from outside the USA, what  is not a member ARRL

Application fee - for not a member of the ARRL    = $  15 .  In this fee are the charge for checking 101 QSOs

Fee for DXCC award (Fee for each certificate) for a not member ARRL    = $ 4x 12 = 48

Fee for print on your printer list of reported QSO (Fee for printout of your DXCC entites list)    = $ 5

Fee for sending feedback award - at the same time the ARRL can send up to 4  awards  (Certificate shiiping fee (up to four certificated)= $15

Suppose that does not send 101 QSO - but 432 QSO. If the additional cost will be 331 x $ 0.08 for every QSO = $ 26.48

Other postage (labels pin )    = $7,5

Total charges = $   116,98

For one diploma so we pay 116.98 / 4 = $ 29.23, not $ 58.42 as send a notification application for only one award

These costs have been given on the assumption that the use of national DXCC Checker and QSL cards for you check in a  SPDX Club meetings and do not accept post-mail for shipping costs QSL to and from the  national DXCC Checker

The above fees include fees for the first edition of such  award  usually DXCC_MIXED.

Fees for other awards tend to be much smaller because, as previously reported QSO we report only once and the potential to serve it to many awards as described above. Therefore, for the issue of other awards we do not need a large part of the fees for checking QSOs - that is in step 1 and 5 accept a much lower cost.

Also in obtaining  labels on the  award called in the ARRL  DESK accept much lower costs. I find it difficult at this time to provide exactly what are the costs - because the pages ARRL lack at this  moment explicit information. It seems to me that some of the information derived from the previous period where the annual fee in force award DXCC (yes - if you were a member of ARRL). At the moment, I think I can see that this rule was abandoned. If I am wrong then please people with on this issue have better and more actually  information ,  inform me  to my email   sp9auv@wp.pl    .
